Activities

The Jämsä region offers many experiences in beautiful nature. Himos, Lake Päijänne and the Isojärvi National Park invite the travellers to enjoy the best parts of diverse nature.
The National Park is an excellent destination for a day or two hiking trip. There are over 30 km of footpaths. The trails are marked, and there are special areas for camping and campfires. In Heretty, an old cabin of log floaters has been renovated to serve in summer as the park guide's office and a historical site of the Finnish log floating culture.
Versatile programme and activity services guarantee energetic experiences for every taste. In summer, you can go on a cruise on Lake Päijänne, head to a kayaking safari, play some paintball games, drive a quadbike, or play golf on the greens of Himos. In winter, after downhill and crosscountry skiing, you can drive a snowmobile or try tour skating, ice swimming or go on a dog sleigh ride. On cold winter days its nice to dive in the warm water of the swimming pool, play rally simulator games, go bowlig, or gather a group of friends and have a real winter paintball tournament.
Local riding stables have plenty of horses for the horse lovers making it possible to enjoy the sceneries sitting in horseback. In winter, the journey in nature proceeds on skies, for our wide network of ski tracks coils through the most beautiful winter sceneries.
